About Me

Whether playing, developing or merely spectating, I have a passion for all things gaming. If you believe my parents, I was playing games far too early on in life. That passion for playing games developed into an interest in building them. I am currently completing his final year in the Game Design & Development Bachelor of Science program at SUNY Canton.

Starting as early as age 8, I began learning how to code and soon built my first simplistic game. Since then, I have utilized nearly a dozen frameworks and platforms for developing games. I’ve created games from simple 2D platformers to complex 3D first-person shooters.

Coding at Age 8?

Yes. At 8 years old, I learned about simple coding principles. After discovering GameMaker, I learned specific gaming concepts like collisions and object properties. Using simple if statements along with collision detection, I quickly realized the possibilities available by modifying properties of other objects. Suddenly, the mystique surrounding how a sprite’s direction changes and sound effects play when two entitles collide vanished. Once the curtain was pulled back, I saw my newly acquired knowledge come to fruition making (and playing) a slew of different games. I was hooked and my passion only grew from there.

What’s With the Pineapple Thing?

I like pineapples. Not to eat, though. It’s this unexplainable phenomenon. My best guess is that I developed the obsession as a coping mechanism when my best friend was diagnosed with Leukemia, and due to the constant bullying that I endured throughout my childhood.
